Salt Therapy Booth by Sole Purpose Foot Care

What is dry salt therapy?

Halotherapy is a dry salt therapy that utilizes a halogenerator to grind and crush salt into micronized particles that are dispersed into the SALT Booth® via a dry salt aerosol that works to aid respiratory concerns and skin  Sole Purpose Foot Care Salt Therapy Boothconditions.  If there is no halogenerator, there is not halotherapy.

How Dry Salt Therapy Works – The Three Fundamentals of Dry Salt Therapy

Super AbsorbantSuper Absorbent

Dry salt acts like a sponge attracting foreign substances along its path through the respiratory tract.  The dry salt can be imagined behaving like a toothbrush that cleans the respiratory system removing the build-up of foreign elements that cause various respiratory ailments and conditions.

Anti-InflammatoryAnti-Inflammatory

Inhaled dry salt particles may help to reduce inflammation in the entire respiratory tract and widen the airway passages.  A Clean respiratory system naturally results in high oxygen intake, increased energy, and an improved immune system.

Anti-BacterialAnti-Bacterial

The dry salt particles act as an anti-bacterial agent, dissolving bacteria and pollutants lodged in the respiratory tract.  These are then either coughed up or naturally expelled by the body.

What happens during a Salt Booth® Session?

Dry salt therapy acts to cleanse the respiratory system and the skin, which helps to relieve congestion, inflammation and skin conditions.  Sessions are non-invasive.  Sole Purpose Foot Care Salt Therapy Booth

Once you enter the SALT booth®, you can sit and relax.  You can choose to listen to relaxing music, read a book or magazine, meditate or simply rest.  You will find pure relaxation and tranquility away from your everyday stress, leaving you rejuvenated and fully energized.  (Cell phones, electronics and jewelry are usually not permitted since salt can be corrosive.)

The salt, 99.99% Pure Grade Sodium Chloride, is heated and then ground and crushed into very tiny microparticles.  These dry aerosol microparticles of salt are then dispersed into the SALT Booth® where they are inhaled and penetrate deep into the lungs, bronchi bronchioles and alveoli.  The non-inhaled salt particles fall onto the skin and are absorbed.

When your session is over, you may notice a faint trace of salt on your lips and the slight taste of salt on your tongue.  Any salt that collects on your clothing can be easily brushed off.  A runny nose or increase in coughing means your body is clearing out mucus and toxins.

Who benefits from dry salt therapy?

Halotherapy benefits adults and children alike, as well as athletes and animals.  It is natural and safe and there are not side effects.  According to the Salt Therapy Association (STA), many people who undergo halotherapy as a complementary treatment on a regular basis may find relief from a variety of respiratory conditions such as:

Asthma COPD
Chronic Bronchitis Cystic Fibrosis
Coughs, Colds & Flu Allergies/Hay Fever

Clock  How long is a typical salt booth session?

Since cubic airspace is smaller SALT Booth® as opposed to a a Salt Room, the customer experiences a higher concentration level of salt, and only 10-minute sessions are needed to experience the full effect of Dry Salt Therapy.

How should I dress in a SALT booth®?  Dress

Loose, comfortable, light-colored clothing that you can relax in works best. If you are using Dry Salt Therapy for a skin condition, you’ll want to have that area exposed.

Calendar  How many sessions do I need?  How often?

Based on your condition and symptoms, this can vary.  For best results, the Salt Therapy Association recommends a series of treatments.  Some individuals prefer to use Dry Salt Therapy as a continuous preventative measure.

Are there any side effects of dry salt therapy?  Checkmark

There are no potentially harmful side effects of Dry Salt Therapy.  The treatment is completely natural.  A slight cough or a runny nose is possible, but this is simply the salt working to remove mucus and toxins from the lungs and airways.

Me and my boyfriend walked out and felt like we were walking on air seriously! We were traveling and only going to be in town for a few days I googled and found Dee Dee's. I picked her because of all the excellent comments. Comments have nothing on the total experience. I feel like I've never had a pedicure until today!! My boyfriend walked out chanting "Dee - Dee do your feet... make my feet feel really sweet" Lol! What a great person what a great experience. Can't wait until the next time... Thank you so much Dee Dee!

Pedicures are pedicures, right? Wrong. Since I first met Dee Dee, I was struck by her passion for people's feet. Her passion is also educational; she taught me, for example, that water on the skin dehydrates, but water in the body hydrates. Maybe everyone else knows that, but I didn't. She also explained that while other facilities may sanitize their implements she sterilizes her's in a autoclave, in the same way a hospital would for surgical equipment. Each time our path would cross she would say, "you have to come in so I can show you what I do." Well, you can only resist her so long...I'm glad I gave in, what a great experience. As you walk into her studio you feel like you're walking into her home, it's very warm and inviting. I waited about 6-7 minutes while she finished with the customer ahead of me. When she brought me back she made me comfortable in a giant leather recliner. Then she began to work her magic! Since Sole Purpose is a water-less system I didn't have the endless foot aerobics like you have at typical shops; in the water, out of the water, in the water...etc. It's far more relaxing to kick the recliner back and watch her do what she loves. Even working on my cuticles, there was never any pain like I'd experienced in the past at other salons. May I also say, the paraffin treatment is terrific! (Worth it!) So in about 45 minutes or so my feet were perfectly tended and ready for my socks that she kindly warmed first. Really a class act both the facility and Dee Dee. Well done!
